Principal Research Fellow/Econometrician/Economists

PRICE is on the lookout for above research positions with an experience of 5-8 years experience in quantitative and qualitative consumer research to undertake an innovative analytics team delivering in-depth data analysis, modelling, and reporting for creating a dynamic, replicable model.

 

PRICE expects a candidate who will be performing following roles & responsibilities:

  • Develop and design socio-economic research studies

  • Construct survey instruments and sampling frameworks

  • Evaluate data integrity and develop appropriate quality assurance protocols

  • Review and analyze data from multiple internal and external sources, both qualitative/quantitative and provide a action-based solutions/perspectives

  • Develop statistical models to solve business problems such as origination, collections, response, retention, pre-screen, and reactivation models

  • Present findings to non-technical audiences, translate business problems into statistical ones, and make connections between business and statistical solutions

  • Document modelling and analysis processes and findings.

  • Stay current with quantitative consumer research methodologies, including continuing education when necessary

  • Serve as advanced quantitative methods and statistical consultant to the Centre studies.

 

PRICE expects a candidate who has following qualification

  • Has a minimum a post graduate degree in social sciences specialised in Statistics, Economics or Econometrics from a top tier university with at minimum 5-8 years relevant experience.

  • Having PhD degree and knowledge of macro economics will be an additional advantage.

  • Designing high quality consumer research using right tools and techniques, experience in handling of large primary and secondary data based research.

  • Desirable to possess a documentable analytical, quantitative, research and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to develop conclusions and make innovative recommendations based on a thorough understanding of data analysis and business intelligence methodology

  • Practical exposure with statistical methods and time series modelling methods (various regression methods, hypothesis testing, survival analysis, ARIMA, etc.).

  • Proficient in at least one of statistical software, e.g. SPSS, STATA and SAS.

  • Good written & oral communication skills

Research Analyst/Associate

PRICE is on the lookout for above research positions with an experience of 3-4 years experience in research to undertake an innovative analytics by studying data and statistics and using understanding of economic relationships to uncover trends, carrying out considerable amounts of research and collecting large amounts of information.

 

PRICE expects a candidate who will be performing following roles & responsibilities:

  • Devising methods and procedures for obtaining data;

  • Creating, as well as using, various econometric modelling techniques to develop forecasts;

  • Understanding and interpreting data;

  • Analysing data to test the effectiveness of current policies, products or services and advising on the suitability of alternative courses of action and the allocation of scarce resources;

  • Explaining research methodology and justifying conclusions drawn from research data;

  • Providing economic advice to a range of stakeholders;

  • Evaluating past and present economic issues and trends;

  • Writing various technical and non-technical reports on economic trends and forecasts to inform the press and public;

  • Delivering numerous oral and visual presentations, which non-economist audiences must be able to understand thoroughly in order to inform decisions

  • Any other responsibility as and when arises

 

PRICE expects a candidate who has following qualification

  • Perform statistical analysis, including regression analysis.

  • Collect, clean, and maintain computer data sets and databases. Assist with data entry and ensure data integrity. Extract and link data from multiple databases for analysis. Prepare detailed documentation

  • Assist with data analysis and dissemination of findings through the preparation of reports, journal articles, presentations, web sites, and other research outlets.

  • Perform case-based research, including work with detailed primary documents.

  • Assist in the organization of research programs including conferences, seminars and workshops, and perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Prepare presentations for teaching and research projects.

  • Monitor the status of multiple projects and ensure that interim and final deadlines are met.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Research Intern

PRICE is seeking qualified undergraduate interns to begin work on research projects. The specific projects will be determined in consultation with participating directors.

 

PRICE expects a candidate who will be performing following roles & responsibilities:

  • Conducting literature reviews on topics related to the assigned projects, developing search criteria and summarizing articles into abstracts or reports;

  • Assisting in the development of data collection instruments;

  • Analyzing program data; participating in program evaluations; conducting knowledge synthesis, and preparing and disseminating information and products that support knowledge transfer and adoption

  • Attending in-house project meetings with clients

 

PRICE expects a candidate who has following qualification

  • Must be registered as a senior-year student in a masters/bachelors degree program.

  • Must submit a cover letter and resume.

  • This is a part-time internship where the selected candidate will be able to work up to 20 hours a week
